New $10 Million Gainesville Cancer Center Delivers Comprehensive Care in Community Setting

Florida Cancer Specialists & The Cancer Center at North Florida Regional Healthcare Partner to Provide Broad Range of Services Under One Roof. Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute announced the opening of its new location, the Gainesville Cancer Center, 6420 West Newberry Road – East Wing, Suite 100. The new state-of-the-art, comprehensive cancer facility, which more than doubles the size of the previous FCS office, is an expansion of The Cancer Center at North Florida Regional Healthcare (NFRH) and brings medical oncology services under the same roof as radiation oncology, as well as ancillary services, such as patient navigation, acupuncture and support groups.
The Gainesville Cancer Center was built in coordination with NFRH and North Florida Radiation Oncology to provide comprehensive services situated in a convenient central location. The new center was also planned with the input of a group of cancer patients from Florida Cancer Specialists and North Florida Radiation Oncology (NFRO), who advised the design team from the patients’ point of view.
