New Physician Joins in Marion County

Ocala, FL – October 1, 2017… Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, is pleased to announce that Mohammad K. Kamal, MD has joined the statewide practice and is seeing patients at a new Ocala office of Florida Cancer Specialists, located at 2820 SE 3rd Court, Suite 200, Ocala, FL.

FCS CEO Brad Prechtl said, “We are delighted to welcome Dr. Kamal to Florida Cancer Specialists. He has established an excellent reputation in Marion County and will offer added convenience for our patients in Ocala. We are very pleased to have him join the FCS family.”

Dr Kamal will continue to practice at his current office, thus increasing the number of FCS clinics to three in Marion County.”

Dr. Mohammad Kamal attended medical school in Mosul, Iraq at the University of Mosul. After graduating, he relocated to Johnson City, Tennessee where he completed his Residency and Fellowship in Oncology/ Hematology at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Kamal has been practicing medical oncology in Marion County since 1985 and prior to joining Florida Cancer Specialists, he had a successful private practice in Ocala, FL. Currently, Dr. Kamal serves as a Board Member of Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital. Dr. Kamal is married with three children and enjoys golf, fishing, soccer and skiing.
