Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Opens New Central Business Office in Fort Myers

Fort Myers, FL – March 31, 2017. . . Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, celebrated the opening of its new Central Business Office, located at 2890 Center Pointe Drive, Fort Myers, FL, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which included remarks from FCS CEO Brad Prechtl, COO Todd Schonherz, CMSO Shelly Glenn, Chief Revenue Cycle Officer Sarah Cevallos and David Miller, Executive Director of the SW Florida Chamber of Commerce. The new facility, which encompasses over 50,000 square feet on two floors, houses over 250 employees working in various Revenue Cycle departments, including Financial Aid, Billing, Customer Service, and Utilization Management.
FCS CEO Brad Prechtl said, “At Florida Cancer Specialists, we strive for continuous improvements that benefit our patients. Our Central Business office handles the administrative functions of our organization and plays a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of service and support. Chief Revenue Cycle Officer Sarah Cevallos, added, “The complexities of insurance billing and collections require a unique work environment where there is a balance between open collaboration and concentrated focus. The revenue cycle departments have moved a combined 8 times in the past 4 years. This permanent residence is providing us with the innate ability to establish roots in order to serve our community, state network of physicians and employees, and most importantly, permit our patients to focus on what matters most, getting better.”
