Facility Offers Patients Expanded Services and Convenience in Lake County
Leesburg, FL – Apri 4, 2017. . . Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, is pleased to announce the completion of its renovation of the Leesburg South cancer center, located at 601 E Dixie Avenue – Suite 1001, Leesburg, FL. The newly-expanded facility will continue providing patients with the most advanced and personalized cancer treatments in the area, all under one roof, including medical oncology, fixed PET/CT imaging and an expanded array of other services. Physicians practicing at Leesburg South include Jennifer Cultrera, MD, Maen Hussein, MD, Sandeep Thaper, MD and Marays Veliz, MD
FCS CEO Brad Prechtl said, “At Florida Cancer Specialists, we strive for continuous improvements that benefit our patients. The newly-remodeled facility at Leesburg South is quite a bit larger, so we were able to close one of our older offices just a few miles away and still accommodate those patients at the expanded cancer center. This means we now have three conveniently located facilities in Leesburg.”
Dr. William Harwin, Founder and President of FCS, added, “The larger office allows us to add several services for patients, including a fixed PET/CT scanner. The new scanner at the Leesburg South location brings ‘next generation’ imaging technology to patients in Lake County. This enables our physicians to better monitor a patient’s progress and ensure that treatment is working.”
