GENERAL INFORMATION
The Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation presents A Vision of Hope Kidney Cancer
Education Symposium in partnership with members of the medical community, our patient
support group, patients and caregivers to achieve three main goals:
- Identify the common risk factors of kidney cancer
- Increase awareness of the diagnosis and treatment of kidney cancer
- Develop and encourage a healthy lifestyle in kidney cancer patients
Many topics will be discussed that are important for people who are in active treatment,
recovering or have been cured. These topics include:
- Diagnosis and Staging
- Common Toxicities of Kidney Cancer Medications
- Surgical Treatment
- Progress in Adjuvant and Advanced Kidney Cancer
- Treatment Options for Metastatic Kidney Cancer
- Immunotherapy of Kidney Cancer
A Vision of Hope Kidney Cancer Education Symposium is fortunate to have a variety of well respected speakers who will address a variety of topics to empower both patients and caregivers to make a difference in the understanding of their cancer treatment. We will also provide an opportunity for patients, caregivers and physician leaders to dialogue about issues.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This conference is designed for kidney cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family
members who are interested in learning about kidney cancer and the role you play in
survivorship and education.
