The 14th Annual Clinical Breakthroughs & Challenges in Hematologic Malignancies Conference is designed to present the most recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances and treatment options in hematologic malignancies to practicing hematologists, oncologists, pharmacists, advanced practice professionals and oncology nurses.  This one-day interactive conference will cover AML, MDS, NHL, CLL and Myeloma  in a format that includes plenary lectures, case presentations and discussions.  Ample time will be available for networking.

Hematologic malignancies are the types of cancer that affect blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes and account for 9.5% of new cancer diagnoses in the United States.  Florida is home to 3.3 million seniors and this group carries the greatest burden of cancer. It’s critical that Florida oncologists be updated on new treatment and management therapies to meet the needs of this population.

Moffitt Cancer Center invites you to the 14th Annual Clinical Breakthroughs and Challenges in Hematologic Malignancies conference to be held on January 12-13, 2018 at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel in Lake Buena Vista.   An addition this year is Cell Therapy and BMT.  A pre-conference Friday night dinner is scheduled with keynote speaker Dr. Ivan Borrello from The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center of Johns Hopkins.  Dr. Borrello will speak on “Immunotherapy in Hematologic Malignancies:  will it get us closer to the cure?”  The conference will cover AML, MDS, NHL, CLL and Myeloma. Lectures,  case presentations along with a few interesting debates will round out the agenda on Saturday.  For more information, please contact Janet.Young@Moffitt.org.
