Dr. Mitchell B. Weisberg Joins Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute

Palm Coast, FL – January 16, 2017Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the leading community oncology/hematology practice in the state, is pleased to announce that Mitchell B. Weisberg, MD has joined the practice and is seeing patients at the Palm Coast office of Florida Cancer Specialists, located at 61 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL.

For over 20 years, Dr. Mitchell B. Weisberg has been caring for cancer patients. After completing his Internal Medicine training at St. Luke’s Hospital and St. Louis Regional Medical Center, affiliates of the University of Missouri, Dr. Weisberg returned to his home in Miami, FL to pursue additional medical training. Subsequently, he completed his Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Weisberg began practicing in 1995 in Daytona Beach, FL at the Daytona Oncology Center, where he also served as Director of Medicine. In 2001, Dr. Weisberg moved to Georgia to help initiate a research program and to practice Oncology at Columbus Regional Medical Center, John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus, GA. In late 2003, he returned to the North Central Florida area as he wanted to raise his young family in his home state.

Prior to joining Florida Cancer Specialists in Palm Coast in 2017, Dr. Weisberg cared for patients in Volusia and Flagler counties for almost 14 years as Director of Medical Oncology at Metcare Oncology in Ormond Beach, FL
