This one-day conference will focus on multiple myeloma, MDS, MPNs and Lymphoma in a forum of didactic lectures and interactive case presentation discussions. Course Description: This interactive two day course has been designed for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, oncology nurses, and healthcare professionals involved in cancer care. General practitioners (internal medicine and family medicine) will have the benefit of a review of the standard of care and new developments in breast, gynecological, and lung cancer screening and therapy. Residents in training and fellows from these specialties are encouraged to attend.
There will be small group interactive special sessions devoted to genetics, radiologic techniques and diagnostic biopsy steps, pathological concepts, as well as standard and novel therapy. There will be emphasis on molecular diagnosis and individualization of cancer therapy based on state of the art molecular phenotypes. Participants in the meeting will have the opportunity to learn the most recent management in these areas, while having small group discussions and personal interaction with experts in the field.
Credit Information: Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Mayo Clinic College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
